JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you looking for a job where your commitment and care make a decisive difference for a child's well-being and participation?

As a student resource focused on diabetes support, you will play a central role in creating structure, security, and continuity in the student's school day. Your presence contributes to the student being able to participate in teaching and activities in a safe and equitable manner, while also serving as an important link between the school, guardians, and student health. By working closely with both educators and after-school staff, you become an integral part of the school's team and support an inclusive and caring learning environment.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Monitoring and following up on the student's blood sugar levels throughout the school day.
• Managing and administering insulin doses according to agreed medical guidelines.
• Providing support regarding meals, snacks, and physical activity to ensure stable blood sugar control.
• Acting quickly and correctly in emergency situations such as high or low blood sugar.
• Maintaining continuous and clear contact with guardians regarding the student's daily condition and needs.
• Collaborating closely with class teachers, after-school staff, and the student health team regarding the student's planning and safety.
• Providing support to other students in the group or class as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who can confidently and accurately take responsibility for a child's medical needs during the school day and contribute to a stable and safe learning environment. You work in a structured manner, follow routines with precision, and maintain a calm demeanor even when situations change rapidly. In your daily life, you interact with students, guardians, and colleagues, so you are social, attentive, and have an easy time building good relationships. You take initiative when needed, collaborate selflessly in the team, and always prioritize the student's best interests. We are looking for a person who combines care and clarity with responsibility and a natural ability to create security around them.

Requirements for the Position:

• High school education in healthcare or equivalent education
• Proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

• Good knowledge and experience working with children who have diabetes
• Experience with Dexcom and the Omnipod Dash insulin pump

A valid extract from the police record is required for this position.
